I've only been through the new screening on that pier twice, but went through it a few times in the intl area. IMHO the experience seems to be mixed, with lots of people not understanding how to use the bins, and more importantly that 6? people can be loading their bins at a time, and you don't have to wait for the last spot to be free.

This system works really well when people know how it works, and security staff help people to understand that.. My experience from other airports incl MEL when they moved to it was that when it's bad, it's really really bad..
