While certainly better located than any other Hyatt in Shanghai (apart from maybe the Andaz), I feel the following statement from its website is a bit disingenuous...though not as bad as the claims made by hotels in former Zhabei (which reverse merged into Jing'an:

I and [MENTION=18316]travelinmanS[/MENTION] actually used to live 5 minutes away, and it's not a terrible area (e.g. 15 walk to the Portman), but there's certainly no material business going on in the neighborhood itself.
