I agree that the marketing and service could be better. On a recent flight to HNL I helped my seat mate get on the WiFi for his work laptop because that absolutely would not work but his phone would.
He had a GoGo subscription and the server would timeout when he attempted to login or even buy a new pass; however, his phone authenticated just fine. We ended up disabling his phone wifi and cloning the MAC HFC onto the laptop and it worked instantly.
Alaska needs to get their WiFi IT together, because even on officially supported planes there are usually problems. I have them all of the time. 🥺
