I have no problem emailing the hotel to ask but I was curious if there was a standard WOH policy on this particular situation or if it’s more of a property specific issue.
One more question, if I arrive early as a Globalist on an award stay (say 11am) and I want to park my car at the hotel and leave my bags, if my room is not ready would I be charged for parking that day since technically I haven’t checked in yet?
any feedback would be welcome, thanks everyone!
Generally its any available parking means as long as it meets the T&C of the free parking benefit (i.e. Hyatt controlled). I find most hotels to be very flexible. For example one property was all self parking but had "preferred" spots which they also allowed me to use. Best to confirm with the hotel before arrival or before actually parking to be sure.
As for early arrivals, again, most properties should be pretty flexible if it's their lot/garage and wouldn't charge you since you are arriving on check-in day but the hotel would be best to confirm that as well.
