Governor of the state is trying to change some rules to allow conventions coming back in summer, meanwhile the annual inspired home show (IHHS), previously houseware show that has 40,000+ attendees, previously moved the show dates from March to August is now officially cancelled for two years in a row.
Palmer house can do grab and go bag just like any other downtown Chicago HH properties whether you like it or not, even the two ES were grab and go bags last month as well.
I'm hoping they'll keep the buffet open and just have an employee plate the food since they can keep servers and others employed that way and they're a higher end hotel trying to bring guests back. I love their cinnamon rolls and the yogurt parfait station and I'm sure the yogurt station will go away since it's self serve. I'm sure they'll do grab and go and if they do I hope they'll just offer the option of either additional points or a voucher you can use at Palmers or Lockwood's or at Starbucks downstairs.
I'm hoping Market Days will happen in August and will probably stay there if it does. My memorial day trip we are staying at Fairmont which is a great hotel, I just don't like the location but won't have that much luggage with me.
