Can't find anything too recent or relevant so here goes - I've never seen anything so inconsistent. I've flown to or from Hawaii from the west coast on AS 18X in the last 6 months and the wifi service is all over the board. Sometimes it's just nothing from start to finish, sometimes good the whole way and other times starts, stops, etc.

As a T-Mobile customer and the Gogo app I get free service through my phone which is great... when it works. As an estimate I'd say it's pretty much split into thirds - 1/3 of my flights it works great the whole way, 1/3 spotty and 1/3 nothing. The official word on AS website says there's no service to/from Hawaii but I've had it many times. I suppose rather than being miffed when I don't have wifi, I should be happy when I do (I'm pretty sure my wife has told me a story that has something to do with a glass of water ) Anyway, does anyone have any insight or at least are your experiences similar to mine?
