I know you said not far but I’ll put in my plug for the Hilton Haikou Meilen. It’s a little isolated from the rest of Haikou but the resort is large. There’s three pools with a beach like area at one end. There’s a children’s play area and a kid’s club though it’s been a few years since I was there. There’s also an Executive Lounge but it was already down to just about the minimum when I left China.
