I'm 16 and have travelled by my self a couple of times domestically and internationally. When we connected at IAD I was the one directing my mom through the connection hall and telling her not to folllow the signs that say "Northern Virginia/Washington D.C.". Tell your son, ICE is not scary. They are just there as the first line of defense from crime. Connecting at IAD can be confusing when masses just go to the regular arrivals line but tell him just follow the signs that say connections. We teenagers aren't that bad. But we can't be spoonfed anymore.
