Admittedly, I have never asked for rebooking in the situations like this; only for a refund and then booked a new ticket that suited me better. As ISTFlyer states there should be no deadline for invoking the invol. schedule change unless stated in the email you have received - again no first hand experience.

I don't want a refund and if COVID rules allow, I do want to travel in May.
However if COVID rules say we can't travel from the UK, I want to have the option of free rebooking later in the year since the prices are currently double later in the year for that route.
Hopefully it won't come to it.
