Strictly speaking, if she's flying Y, she's allowed 2x23kg, and if she's flying J, she's allowed 3x32kg. But honestly, if you have status and are nice to the check-in agent, they'll do you a favour 9/10 times. Swiss employees at ZRH are especially nice in my experience and have been more lenient in these sorts of things, certainly more than LH group agents at VIE or FRA.
