In the first pictures, those showing the façade of the hotel, I think I prefer the old version. At least they seem to have had little balconies. Now it looks like some sort of debtor's prison. Not sure I would be enticed back with this review but I am no fan of Mercure (never having had a good stay). But I would do it to stop my points expiring.
