While there remains a very, very, very limited random deselection process, if one has properly entered one's KTN and the data associated with that KTN, one should expect 100% hit on Pre-Check. That is true for all carriers participating in Pre-Check, not just AS.

If you are deselected, either your KTN is entered wrong, your name does not match your KTN, there is a glitch, you truly just had some bad luck and have been randomly deselected, or TSA has revoked your Pre-Check.

International departures and domestic connections following an international arrival are slightly different.
I can’t fully agree with all of the information in this post. I honestly think AS had/has some glitches in their IT System.

I am one who has had random episodes of my KTN dropping from my PNR, even though it shows in my profile, and I have done no name changes. My FT number has been active since at least 2001 with AS. I have had GE/Pre Check since the first year it was introduced. IT with Alaska has been a thorn in my side since the VS integration. Everything else about this airline is level 9 satisfactory for me.

My most recent “dropped KTN” came about on an itinerary when I had to change one of the flight segments to a diff flight on the same day. At this point, I’m ready to just ask to cancel and renew every reservation that I change. The issues with not being/showing/knowing if I’m on the upgrade list in these situations, just adds fuel to the fire. This is where Alaska stinks. To top that off, nobody replies to my requests to investigate what happened, still worse...it keeps happening!

My last reservation just one week ago had the KTN drop/upgrade drop issues. The first segment was fine...for the next segment, It wasn’t until I noticed, that it got corrected (which fixed the KTN, but not Waitlist). By the time I was added to FC Waitlist, it was T-2 to departure and nothing left; I had changed flight segment at T-14.

Who here has a point of contact that they can share or PM, so I can nail this? I’m guessing Missy is no longer getting involved with social media and elite members.
