Looking at a possible LM redemption with the routing EWR-YUL-VIE. EWR-YUL on AC and YUL-VIE on OS. July 2021.

I was thinking to take a detour to Downtown to have a walk around as I'll have a 7.5 hour layover...

What procedures should I be expecting... Will I be able to have my luggage checked-thru? Or will I have to take my luggage with me... IS there a place I can check my luggage at the airport if I have to take it with me?

I know I will have to clear Canadian customs, figured an Uber downtown... See the basilica, waterfront area... Return during rush hour so figured maybe commuter train to dorval then a quick walk to the eco-shuttle bus back to the terminals...

Will be flying J ( i assume 2 hours is more than enough time to return to YUL?)
