So my boss called me today and told me I have to go to NYC for about 36 hours next week (flying from DCA-LGA on AA Thursday morning and back home to DCA Friday afternoon). I qualify as an essential worker due to the industry I’m employed in, but after reading the NYS web site I’m confused as to the rules that will apply to me.
My boss made the same trip in December and said all he needed was a negative COVID test dated within 72 hours of arrival, and to fill out the online form on the NY state web site, but he said no one checked for the COVID test result when he landed in LGA. Is this still the case for essential travelers in March? I know I’m exempt from quarantine because I’m considered “essential” but I can’t tell if the negative COVID test and registration requirements still apply.
