Two really interesting questions to ask would:
1) In your current location, how often per month are you working non-standard business hours?
2) In a percentage, how much more (in)efficient is work done remotely vs on-site?
In other words, how many times per month are those persons who would normally be on-site are having to work late-evening, overnight, early-morning to accommodate meetings and engagements in different time zones? How much longer is it taking to complete the same task remotely vs on-site? This type of question - and response - really measures the need for business travel as well as quality of life.
For discussion purposes:
1) 2 x Late-Evening (19:00-01:00); 3 x overnight (23:00-07:00); 8 x early morning (03:00-11:00)
2) 300-400% inefficiency via remote as standard 2-3 days of on-site meetings is now spread over 9-12 remote sessions.
