The receipt helps provide an alibi but it is not airtight. The receipt from the filing shows he is a #1 member which could mean the station could have pre-printed the contract allowing renter to pickup ahead of time. Sometimes the station updates the rental to actual pickup time but other times then don't. In any case, that ship has sailed. This case is now about why Hertz didn't respond to multiple subpoenas.
