I think location is not bad - it's only 1-2 BTS stops from what most would consider the city center. The only issue is that I would rather be on the other side of the center, for example near the cluster where many hotels are located such as Muse, Athenee, Conrad, Kimpton, St.Regis, Waldorf Astoria, etc. But VIE is so close to that area that with a short taxi ride you are there or only a couple of stops by public transit so it would be hard to view the location as a big negative.
