I have no projection to make on long-term success of these routes, but I wonder if these routes are even intended by AA to be long-term? Many of these feel like pandemic-era flights trying to make money somewhere/anywhere, but also flights that would (mostly) be curtailed if/when business travel returns so that AA can redeploy the aircraft to business-friendly routes.

I don't lump every one of these routes into this bucket, but many of them.

Who knows, AA could surprise me.
