We stayed at the Excelsior in 2019 as we wanted to be in central Thessaloniki. We were not pleased with the hotel. We paid for a suite which was two bedrooms across a hall from each other with very shabby furniture and decor. There was no way to easily use both rooms and we wasted our money for the upgrade. The hotel is in the center of the commercial area on the corner of very narrow streets and has no view or sense of space.
