if you got no other cards to apply for and no need for 5/24, then I think the current 80K offer is ok, otherwise I will pass it. for $89 annual fee and 5K spend (assume you can earn 2% cash back elsewhere), you are looking at $189 for 50K points (the points maybe worth 0.5-0.7?), maybe just wait till next DailyGetaways and buy it .
Buying from Daily Getaways is certainly an option (assuming that they hold that promotion this year), but I've traditionally bought Choice points during DG. The last time I checked though, BW sold 10K points for $55 during DG. I like the cost per year of $89 for 20K plus the spending (which I'd easily hit just by moving automatic payments for my utilities to the BW annual fee card).

BW has a nice footprint in the UK, especially in smaller cities and much better than Choice other than in London. I tend to spend several weeks per year in Scotland so properties with decent rates in places like Aberdeen and Dundee hold an appeal for me.
