Japanese manufacturer Terumo manages to extract 7 doses from a single vial of Pfizer vaccine. Normal syringes = 5 doses. Mix of low headspace and normal syringe = 6 doses.
US does not pool vaccines (combine the leftover) since there aren't any preservatives.
Pfizer gets paid by the dose so this may raise the cost but not raise the vaccination rate in areas which can't get Terumo syringes similar to how some are not able to get low headspace syringes for sixth dose?
Looks like they're also approving use of insulin syringes which might get 7th dose

I wonder if it is a full dose to the right muscle or if they're also accounting for a lower weight and body mass than the average American or some European cultures?
