I'll try to be good and stay strictly on topic. What I was meaning to say is that this probably isn't that lucrative for points acquisition right now because I would bet that for many, Starbucks purchases were "working outside the home" related.
Going forward, things will certainly pick up again, as everyone starts getting back to the old normal. Small bonuses can have a big impact on purchasing habits, so I do see how this would benefit both companies.
Also, I am sure this will not be the last partnership AP seek to develop, and it all adds up for the FOTSG set. There are probably many who are loyalty members to multiple other programmes where they spend less in a year than a large number of Starbucks patrons. If nothing else it is a stupid easy way for folks to avoid the 18 month expiry clause without even having to think which is a huge benefit for the non flyer.
