UA's booking system is really powerful and you can do all kinds of complex searches with it. Have you tried other options like booking IAH - BLR with routing through SFO (in advanced options) or a multicity with IAH - SFO - BLR - SFO - IAH itinerary to see how they price out?

Pricing it all out as one ticket may prove to be better.
