There is absolutely no reason to do this since the reservations won't get treated as a back-to-back by the hotel once the TSU is confirmed (as the reservation will be for different room types).
As others have noted, properties linking back-to-back reservations is done as a
benefit to the guest, since presumably the guest does not want to change rooms mid-stay.
