I can't believe it, but Hyatt came back after telling me "no" on multiple phone calls and credited my bonus nights. I was hoping that I would also get the 25% rebate on points for this stay, but I'm going to let that go and just celebrate the fact that I got off relatively easy for my rookie mistake. This is my first time with any significant hotel status. I know Hyatt did not have to do this for me, but it goes to show you what brand loyalty means to them. Thinking I'll stick with them for a little while! Really appreciate the commiserating replies I received here.
