May typically has the highest volumetric flow rate as the Zambezi catchment gets all its annual rain in Nov-Mar. There is a time delay from the end of the rains to max flow. June is still great and you can see water flowing on either side. You are going to have to plan around flights and that MIGHT force you to go to both sides of the Falls if you want to fly non-stop.

Pre-covid, Kenya Airways flew in the morning 4 days a week to Livingstone and the other 3 days to Victoria Falls. The same plane continued on to Cape Town, turned around and goes back to Nairobi via Livingstone or Victoria Falls depending on the day.

At the moment, for June, NBO-VFA is Mon/Fri and NBO-LVI is Tue/Sun. So, for a two night stay, it is best to arrive on Friday into Victoria Falls and leave from Livingstone on Sunday to go onward to Cape Town. Or arrive Livingstone on Sunday and fly to Cape Town from Livingstone on Tuesday (avoid crossing border). One night stays are possible on Mon-Tue and Sun-Mon with border crossings.

Thank you for the response. We are looking to take these exact flights on KQ. Will fly into VFA Friday, depart LVI on Sunday to CPT. We also have the option to fly with Airlink from VFA to CPT on Sunday and avoid crossing.

It doesn't seem like crossing from Zimbabwe the Zambia should be much of an issue, especially if we can get the multi entry visa when arriving into VFA. It would also afford us the chance to see the falls from both sides.

Currently we booked to stay in livingstone since there is a Marriott property in the city. Would we be better served staying in the Zimbabwe side for the two nights?
