That's changed as of today. The marketplace is a worthy effort compared to other hotels which hand you a bag with a pastry and an orange for breakfast. It offers a good variety of to-go items, including refrigerated foods. But starting today, the restaurant is serving a made-to-order breakfast menu and there is some outdoor seating. Far from 100%, but a big step. They're gearing up for the Riot House restaurant to quickly serve even more (LA's regulations now permit it).
I just completed a three-night stay, and it was perfect. Strict observance of COVID protocols. The skeleton crew is working so hard and enthusiastically that you barely notice how few of them there are on payroll right now. I found the level of service to be outstanding given the circumstances. Rooftop pool open without a crowd. Gym open for exclusive appointment, and a second studio has been opened up in a converted meeting room with a Peloton bike, treadmill, and yoga equipment so that twice as many guests can get their safe workout in.
