Fives was pretty quiet, but slightly on the edge of town.

Thompson Main is RIGHT in the middle of the noisiest street - there's a lot of boisterous noise at all hours.

If you are a city mouse and can stand the noise outside your window - I would definitely choose Thompson. Overall it's a little bit better property. There isn't really a proper desk in my room but there is a couch and a table that work just fine, or the balcony chair and table. But the property is right in the heart of town meaning a lot of enjoyable places to sit down and eat just outside. Rooms do have an ocean view, technically speaking - not amazing but you do see the water in the distance which is nice. And the access to the beach house facility is priceless.

If you crave more quiet, the Fives might be a little better because there's nothing around it and the rooftop was much much tamer/quieter, very easy to come up to the roof and sit down at a restaurant table and a headset and take calls.

If I had Hyatt status I would definitely definitely pick Thompson. The perks of the WFH rate are pretty nice and I'm sure you'll be treated well.
