I’ve stayed at a bunch of Marriott hotels over the past year in Canada and they all provide the same response. Not a guarantee and based on availability. The hotel still shows availability and worst case there are guests coming in after 4pm. So much for being a Platinum member going on 14 years and lifetime Platinum. The only benefits left is free wifi if that is even a benefit as most provide to all guests. The other is a breakfast. That is all you get for being a regular vs long term loyal customer. I’ve been so frustrated with the Marriott program since the turnover from SPG. Less points accumulation and more points required to redeem for a stay. Upgrades are now non existent.....again last time I got an upgrade was over 2 years ago. SPG was so much more more loyal. Time to move onto Hilton.
