Yes, I see that it can be read that way too. In the current situation it does also seem very possible that the 380 won't fly again. They may have a plan but not have made any firm decision yet.
Could part of the decsion be the price they get for the 6 they are disposing of initially ? Whether anyone wants them, and then whether anyone wants the other 8 ?...
