I was able to do this via the Twitter team before... although they did end up contacting the property (unprompted by me - I remember them saying to give them some time, which is unusual since they usually come back with a yes/no type answer in their initial response). That was probably about three years ago at the PH Tokyo. I wonder if maybe the property did something "non-standard" to try to help them process it in my case?
I’ve done the same thing at the Andaz Maui a couple of years ago but my concierge was clear she couldn’t do anything and would have to ask the hotel. They made a “one-time” exception.
My guess is this being a SLH that would be difficult. You would have better luck at a Hyatt.
