I submitted a request via their website 8 days ago to do a match challenge. Last night I was notified they will not match my Marriott status with Diamond since I already enjoy the benefits of Hilton's Gold status.
A few years ago, when I was HHonors gold, I called up and asked about a status challenge to Diamond and was offered a 15 nights in 90 days challenge. Might be worth calling and seeing what they say
