Hi,

I have a ticket for a round trip in November and would like to have my seats assigned. The return flight is UA884, which has two legs (NRT/ORD and ORD/PHL) on different planes - and I cannot have my seat assigned for the second leg (ORD/PHL). I called United but they were able to put a "seat request" only. When I check myself at united.com (by trying to make another reservation for the same leg), the requested seat is still displayed as empty. Can't they assign the seat now? Should I call United again?
