Wine Tasting in the Shadow of the Andes
.....In the distance rose a shadowy, purple wall of snowcapped mountains - one of them was Aconcagua, which, at 22,835 feet, is the highest peak in the Andes, and in the Western Hemisphere. It looked a bit like Colorado - the sky was a cinematographer's blue, and the air was delicious, crisp and dry, refreshing after the humid mists of Buenos Aires on the coast.....
