Hotel Du Cap Eden Rock is much nicer than the FS, but more snobby. The FS will cater to quirky demands while HDC may just look down on you.

That being said, I would think twice of going to the Riveria at the end of September. While it can still be nice, it can also be chilly and rainy. Better go for a shorter time in August or at least the beginning of Sep.
