I wanted to see if anyone might have any suggestions for some of the best options for rural getaways outside of either Portland or Seattle. My fiancé and I are planning a trip to see friends, as well as the general area as a whole. I have read up briefly on Tu Tu Tun Lodge, but other suggestions are welcome. I understand that there isn’t anything that’s world class, so if the answer is that there’s nothing worth making an extra stop on the trip for, then I’m totally fine with just focusing on Seattle and Portland themselves.
