What hotel brand has a reputation for huge, open living spaces in their suites??
I've been staying at Hilton properties for years, but recently experienced an Embassy Suites that just felt cramped. It said 680 or so square feet I believe, but still, a lot of the floor space was not usable. Also of note, the bathroom and part of the common area had a ceiling that was low enough for me to touch with a bent arm; maybe 7 foot ceilings in those areas? In any case it felt way too low. The rest wasn't that much higher either, no more than 10-12 inches difference. It just felt very claustrophobic. In the bedroom, the king bed (unnecessary) took up nearly the entire floor space, and there really wasn't enough room for actually getting dressed in there.
I'm thinking of trying a different brand, or even a different company altogether next time. Can anyone recommend brands that typically have a lot of usable floor space in the living room?
