I wrote a big chunk of that Wikipedia page, haha. I like to update pages on hotels and hotel chains when I get bored.

Ramada Renaissance was founded as the upscale division of Ramada in 1981.(Two years later Holiday Inn followed their lead and started their Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza line)

Ramada was sold in 1989 and the new owners divided Renaissance Hotels off as a separate company soon after.

Based on the date it opened, the Ramada Renaissance Techworld seems like it was probably one of the last hotels opened under the Ramada Renaissance name.

Marriott bought Renaissance in 1997.
