Any views on La Reserve at Beaulieu-sur-Mer? Many years back we had a rather nice stay there with a gorgeous room, fabulous food and a lovely pool. It was a classic, traditional French luxury hotel. I do remember one day having a delicious lunch on their terrace and looking down on to the water and seeing sanitary towels and other unsavoury items floating past. Sort of summed up the Riviera for me and I'll never go back there.
