Really? BAs own website has a section about booking your children into a different class of travel on the same plane and it says it can be done for all children 5-12. The only restriction seems to be that someone over 16 needs to be present if child is under 5. This is not the case. My children will be 11/13/15 and in fact only one the youngest is considered a child by BA - the other 2 are young adults.
