Do you mean every flight after your first flight counts towards the 15000 miles? (aka second flight and onwards or do you have to fly two flights and then the third flight starts to count towards 15k?)

(although those 37500 don't have to be on TK metal).
Why wouldn't i be able to acrrue 25,000 miles to keep the status for an extra year? I am very confused about the 25,000 in one year vs 37,500 over 2 years.

Different from US-based carriers, TK awards status miles per fare buckets rather than travel class, if you fly on a discounted Economy fare bucket, you might get 25% mileage for that sector instead. If you would like to get 100% mileage, you would need to purchase a higher fare bucket which might be just a few dollars less than a discounted Business Class ticket.
Yes that's why in the example i noted a Y class fare, but that all makes sense.

Another reminder that according to the latest data that I've heard, TK had stopped their status match due to COVID and I am not 100% sure if they are accepting new applicants for the status match.
A friend of mine got his match last week. Not sure if they have restarted or maybe if you are persistent you get through
