Monaco and Cap Ferrat both have gems worth traveling a long distance to visit. Monaco’s aquarium is incredible, both cutting edge technology and collections of well cared for wildlife. Cap Ferrat has the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, a magnificent villa with ocean front gardens and fountains. Its also worth a visit and spend contemplative time in Picasso’s War and Peace chapel. Its been several years but I also enjoyed visiting Matisse’s home to see his stained glass and collages.
