My only memorable experience with a Holidome was right down the street from my first childhood home, in Omaha. I do not recall if I ever got a chance to go inside, as a Holiday Inn was a bit above our budget at the time. I do remember walking past it countless times and experiencing an early brush with the wanderlust that would continue to drain my wallet to this very day. It was also a filming location for To Wong Foo, perhaps Patrick Swayze's greatest masterpiece. It appears that it is indeed still operating, as a Ramada, following a few major remodels over the years. Evidently, the current HI in OMA actually has an indoor waterpark (a fact I only just now discovered while googling Holidome).
