Maybe there is limited capacity at RFD? It seems as though reconfiguration is not being done in QPG any longer as there are no frames still in Singapore (at least that can be tracked). Is there a possibility that work will be done at AAR once the five frames at RFD are completed? AC likely won't need the frames until fall at the earliest, although Dr. Tam's announcement today was optimistic about a gradual return in June. Fingers crossed that vaccinations pick up and we see a return of multiple AC wide bodies across the Atlantic every day of the week.
I watched Dr. Tam's announcement and there's nothing I disagree with in there. It would be reasonable to assume that AC's summer TATL operations will be 50% (frequency not capacity). YYZ-LHR and FRA double daily, FCO, MUC, ZRH and CDG daily. They've allotted 333s on YYZ-MUC and FCO and on the LHR day-tripper, so I'd expect at least 6-7 reconfigured frames by the summer (only a few more than status quo). I suppose that they could use YMX for reconfigs - it would definitely be easier to ferry pilots into Montreal than Singapore.
