I flew my first AA flight in awhile and my bag was delayed about 15 hours and delivered to the wrong hotel. When the Hilton receptionist said there was no one by my name at this hotel the delivery guy (from wheresmysuitcase.com) told him he should do his job better, made a coffee, then left.

Left only with a picture of the luggage and a random hotel front desk, my hotel helped me look up nearby hotels and found it.

AA ended up refunding both of my checked bags ($30+$40) as well as giving me a $75 flight voucher. Pretty decent for having 0 total flights with them.

Also - try calling the 1k like when you are standing in line for the receptionist. Usually you’ll get a hold of them faster than making the front of the line.
