2,000 SPG points for LA sounds like a good deal. Must be a 4 Points or something. I think I would however use the Radisson Gold Points if possible, since they seem to be harder to redeem. I haven't tried to redeem any lately but I have heard from others that getting an award reservation can be difficult with Radisson. SPG points are always worth a lot to me since there are not blackout dates. Have you checked the Radisson availability to see if you can even make an award reservation?
