I think I've seen his videos for several years so I hope he graduated college. His videos have been a great travel research resource for me.
I guess I am not a self proclaimed train geek but watch Suit Train occasionally, see a steam loco in my instagram feed and then go to check where it runs (see, not a good train geek), so I am a train appreciator? Are there non-JP train otaku handicaps? JP otaku-ness is kind of on another level of dedication. I feel like I'd need to do a lot more train studying, riding, take one of the sleepers, and visit all the train museums to qualify for self consideration and promotion
