But who knows; covid might have made that more touch less. With the CSR you should decline the CDW type coverage that provides coverage for the rental car itself. But consider whether you need liability coverage for damage you cause to other people or property. If you have personal automobile insurance, that coverage may extend to the use of the rental car, it double check that.
I did not have to show my DL and CC when I signed up for Alamo's skip the counter program in November. Just walked past the counter and my minivan was waiting at the curb with the paperwork already in it.
Almost all personal auto insurance covers you in a rental vehicle, but I like to have the CSP insurance as primary and then my personal insurance is secondary.
