My wonder is if these are complimentary drinks or paid drinks? I haven’t been in a SkyClub since Dec 2019 and can’t remember if rum is a complimentary spirit or not, and I know they have greatly reduced their complimentary offerings list.
Point is: a few months ago I was at a bar in A in ATL and had two double vodka crans within 45 minutes probably. So that should equate to 4 drinks and the server was even offering more! I declined any more because I could definitely “feel” the ones I had consumed and my flight was getting ready to board. My bill for those drinks, including tip, was over $60! It’s very clear money talks.
I have definitely had more than 4 jack and cokes in a SkyClub in the past, but that was over 3-4 hours and each time I took the drink to my table.
So just curious if it was entirely consumption related in where the bartender was concerned about liability for 3 drinks in an hour, or if it was too much of the free booze for one person. Could just be a combination of the two and a cautious bartender.
Anyway, thanks for sharing! That’s a good data point.
