Holy old thread batman. Anyway found myself here this week. The effective rates between the two properties were more/less the same, but the House had a stay 3, get 1 night free, but I didn't want that as part of my quest for FreeParkingOnAwardStaysIst, so I booked at the Place at the same effective rate. Was like $109 vs $83/nt or something close enough.
Anyway, it's a decent property, right across from the Convention Center (RIP in person gatherings). This starts to get into the stranger corner of DT Denver, and with covid/WFH, even the 16th St Mall seems to have more panhandlers than usual, I wouldn't really recommend walking east of the property. Breakfast is the same across both hotels and shared - the current
covid cheaping out offerings are just a variety of cold stuff (yogurt, whole fruit) and oatmeal. Really nothing meaningful. I had a rental car one night and it seems that Denver has suspended charging for overnight parking on the street, one of the only cities I've been that charges overnight in normal times.
Apologies for the unmade bed - that was my doing - also ignore the computer monitor, that was mine. Not standard issue. This place is nothing special, but nothing bad either.
